This research aims to determine the extent of the implementation of e-government through the DiarySumsel application as a service for providing public reading materials at the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service. The method used is a qualitative research method with a case study type of research. Data sources were obtained from primary data through interviews and secondary data through several documents such as notes, regulations and reports. The theory used in this research is the theory of e-government success elements by Indrajit which consists of the dimensions of support, capacity and value. The support dimension has indicators of agreement, resource distribution, infrastructure and suprastructure, and socialization. The capacity dimension has indicators of availability of financial resources, availability of technological infrastructure and availability of human resources. The value dimension has indicators of benefits for the organizer and benefits for the community as users. The research results show that the implementation of e-government through the DiarySumsel application as a service for providing public reading materials at the South Sumatra Provincial Library Service is still not running optimally. Elements of successful e-government have been implemented, but obstacles are still found, such as the absence of a definite schedule for activities to increase the collection of reading materials in the DiarySumsel application, problems are still found in the DiarySumsel application and the absence of competent and expert human resources in the field of information technology.
