This research aimed to determine how the implementation of green open space management in Ogan Ilir Regency. The background of this research was the use of green open space, especially the green line for the interests of those which do not have a permition, from all traders who run the green route for the benefit of none of them who has a permition. In the other hand, the lack of control exercised by the government in controlling the location of the green belt that has been converted. Based on regional regulation number 8 of 2014 concerning the management of green open space was in the Ogan Ilir Regency. This research used a policy implementation model proposed by Ripley and Franklin with 3 indicators, namely the related level, the smoothness of the routine function, the performance and the desired impact. Based on the results of research analyses and field observations, it can be concluded that the implementation of the management of green open space in Ogan Ilir Regency based on regional regulation number 8 of 2014 has not been running expectively, because there were still many problems and the desired impact has not been realized. This research provides several suggestions to policy implementers, namely the need for strict control to restore green open conditions from function change, more active socialization to traders who use green open spaces for business interests without prior permission and the importance of a coordination between related agencies should be further improved in the implementation of the policy.
