PENGEMBANGAN METODE PENGUKURAN KEBUTUHAN NUTRISI BERBASIS ANDROID PADA PASIEN KANKER ANAK
Management of cancer treatment methods with chemotherapy can cause side effects, one of the most frequently complained of side effects are nausea and vomiting. Nausea and vomiting can cause appetite to decrease so that nutritional intake for the body’s energy can decrease. Determining proper nutrition can reduce side effect so that it can help increase nutritional intake in pediatric cancer patients. In addition, adequate nutritional intake in pediatric cancer patients can increase the effectiveness of cancer therapy, improve the quality of life and survival of pediatric cancer patients. This purpose of the study was to develop, design and test the method of measuring nutritional needs of an Android based in parents/families of pediatric cancer patients. This study was Research and Development. The Sampling used a total sampling technique were 23 respondents. The result of this study was an Android-based application, namely SiCALCA (Calories Cancer System), a design which is complated with several menu options, application trials was operating result from various smartphones, and the result of the application assessment quesionnare from the 7 assesment indicators obtained that score of 3 was good. These assessment indicators include clarity of material, suitability of content and objectives, attractive program appearance, language in the media that is simple and easy to understand, color composition, font type and size, clarity of intructions for use, and ease of using the application.
