STUDI PENGARUH FENOMENA INDIAN OCEAN DIPOLE (IOD) TERHADAP CURAH HUJAN DI KOTA PALEMBANG PADA TAHUN 2019 – 2023
Indonesia has two seasons, namely the rainy season and the dry season. Rainfall is one of the important climate elements. Rainfall data is usually obtained from the BMKG station which still has gaps and data limitations, so it is compared with satellite rainfall data from the ECMWF station. The world climate meteorological phenomena that occur in affecting rainfall such as the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) phenomenon that occurs in the Indian Ocean. So the researchers tried to find a correlation relationship between satellite rainfall and BMKG rainfall in 2019-2023 and look for the IOD phenomenon in that year. The results showed that there was a positive correlation relationship indicating a difference in measurement between satellite rainfall data and BMKG rainfall data and there was an IOD phenomenon that affected rainfall in Palembang City
