This research entitled "The Realization of the Principle of Legal Certainty in Compensation for Online Investment Losses," to discuss the application of the principle of legal certainty in compensating for losses from illegal investments. It examines illegal investments handled through civil lawsuits and the regulation of compensation for such investments. The research used a juridical-normative approach. The data analysis method used was qualitative, involving data collection, case analysis, and report compilation based on existing cases. Data collection included document studies and literature reviews. Society often assumes that compensation cannot be obtained for criminal acts of fraud. However, a deeper analysis reveals that compensation can be sought through civil lawsuits, such as unlawful act or negligence (wanprestasi). In cases of fraud, it is advisable for victims to file a criminal lawsuit first. The outcome of the criminal court decision can then be used as written evidence in the civil lawsuit, simplifying the burden of proof. The realization of compensation claims can be based on civil lawsuits that oblige the debtor to cover the loss or damage. Keywords: Legal Certainty, Civil Lawsuit, Compensation, Illegal Investment.
