ANALISA HEADLOSS TERHADAP VARIASI MATERIAL PIPA DAN SUDUT ELBOW
Pipes are important components in fluid conduit systems, which are used to move different types fluids from one place to another. The efficiency of a fluid conduit system can be improved by careful and precise design, which includes the selection of pipe diameter, pipe position, type connection, and number of turns. This research is an experimental study to determine the Headloss of 3 pipe materials and different elbow angles. For this reason, the title of this thesis is “Headloss Analysis of Pipe Material Variations and Elbow Angles. the parameters needed are pipe diameter (D), flow rate (Q) and elbow angle (θ) with 3 different pipe materials. These data are used to calculate the loss coefficient (K). The largest Headloss value is found at the elbow angle 90 with a D variation of 22 mm, Galvanized material with a discharge of 20L/min which is 0.09934 m. While the smallest Headloss value is at the elbow angle 45, variation D 26 mm, discharge 10L/min with PPR material which is 0.0361 m. Where Galvanized Headloss is greater than PPR. because the surface roughness of the PPR pipe of 0.0015 is smaller than the roughness of the galvanized pipe which is 0.015, besides that the Headloss value is also influenced by the roughness value of the elbow turn type, at the elbow 45 of 0.35 while the roughness value for the elbow 90 sebesar is 0.75, it can be concluded that the greater the roughness value of the elbow, the higher the Headloss value.
