LAJU DAN WAKTU PEMBERIAN AIR MENGGUNAKAN SISTEM IRIGASI TETES TERHADAP EFISIENSI PEMBERIAN AIR DAN PRODUKSI SELADA DAUN
The research objective was to determine the best rate and time of water application using drip irrigation system on water application efficiency and lettuce yield. It was conducted from January to October 2013 at plant house in Agricultural Technology Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya. This research used Factorial Completely Randomized Design consists of two factors treatment of water application rate (A) and water application time (B) with three replications for each treatment. The observed parameters were water application efficiency, wet matter weight and dry matter weight. The results showed that the highest water application efficiency was found on Ai treatment with magnitude of 95.04%, 85.17% and 87.63% for initial vegetative stage, middle vegetative stage and final vegetative stage, respectively. The highest water application efficiency was found on B2 treatment with magnitude of 92.88%, 83.85% and 86,03% for initial vegetative stage, middle vegetative stage and final vegetative stage, respectively. The results of water application efficiency for treatments combination showed that the highest values were found on A^2 treatment with magnitude of 95.88%, 85.84% and 88,20% for initial vegetative stage, middle vegetative stage and final vegetative stage, respectively. On the other hand, the lowest values were found on A3B1 with magnitude of 87.81%, 79.86% and 81,39% for initial vegetative stage, middle vegetative stage and final vegetative stage, respectively. The highest value of wet matter weight o f lettuce was found on Ai with magnitude of 94.63 grams and was found on Bj with magnitude of 92.39 grams and the lowest one was found on B2 with magnitude of 86.31 grams. The results of treatment combination showed that the highest value of wet matter weight of lettuce was found on AiB] with magnitude of 95.61 grams and the lowest one was found on A3B2 with magnitude of 82.40 grams. The highest value of dry matter weight of lettuce was found on Ai with magnitude of 6.24 grams and was found on B| with magnitude of 6.01 grams. The results of treatment combination showed that the highest value of dry matter weight of lettuce was found on A1B1 with magnitude of 6.69 grams, whereas the lowest was found on A3B2 with magnitude of 4.98 grams.
