DIPLOMASI PUBLIK INDONESIA DI AUSTRIA MELALUI PROGRAM INTERFAITH AND INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE
Indonesia is known as a country that has diverse cultures, religions, and ethnicities, therefore Indonesia has a strategic program in building a positive image of Indonesia and strengthening bilateral relations with Austria through the Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue Program. This research focuses on three main dimensions of Mark Leonard's public diplomacy theory, namely: News Management, Strategic Communication, and Relationship Building. These three dimensions are used to evaluate the success of the interfaith dialogue program. The results showed that the program was able to utilize media and digital platforms to convey a positive narrative about moderate Islam and diversity in Indonesia. Through Strategic Communication, the program managed to reach a wider audience, especially among religious leaders, academics, and the younger generation, in addition to strengthening bilateral relations through student exchanges, academic collaborations, and joint publications. However, there are challenges such as the lack of sustainability of cooperation after the end of the MoU. The interfaith and intercultural dialogue program is one example of the success of Indonesia's public diplomacy in promoting the values of pluralism and tolerance globally. In addition to enhancing Indonesia's reputation in Austria, the initiative encourages the development of deeper relationships in a number of areas, including education and culture, and helps combat global issues such as intolerance and radicalism.
