This research aims to decribe loneliness in voluntary and involuntary singles. The respondents of this research were 247 individuals with a minimum age of 19 years and at least single in the last six months. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The measurement tool used is the loneliness scale which refers to the loneliness aspect of Weiss (1973), social loneliness and emotional loneliness. The results showed that the overall level of loneliness in the subjects of this research was known to be in the high category, the level of loneliness in the involuntary single category was higher than that of the voluntary single category, and emotional loneliness was more often felt by the subjects of this research when compared to social loneliness.
