This study aims to analyze students' decision-making skills related to Socioscientific Issues related to energy, especially the transition from fossil energy to renewable energy. This research was conducted in seven public high schools in Palembang city involving 182 students as respondents. The instrument used was a multiple choice question designed to measure decision-making skills in dealing with complex energy issues. The results showed that 84 students had high decision-making skills while 98 students had low decision-making skills. This finding indicates that students already have an awareness of energy problems, on the other hand, students still have difficulties in designing an alternative solution related to energy problems. This research is expected to provide benefits for students, teachers, and researchers in understanding and developing decision-making skills relevant to current energy challenges.
