ANALISIS MISKONSEPSI MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN FISIKA PADA MATERI USAHA DAN ENERGI MENGGUNAKAN FIVE-TIER DIAGNOSTIC TEST
This research aims to analyze the level of misconceptions of Physics Education students at Sriwijaya University and their causes using the Five-Tier Diagnostic Test instrument. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The sample in this research was Physics Education students class of 2024, totaling 89 people. Data collection was carried out using a five-tier diagnostic test consisting of 15 questions. Data analysis was carried out using a five-tier diagnostic test results interpretation table. The research results showed that 35.61% of students experienced misconceptions which were categorized as moderate misconceptions. The highest misconception was found in the business sub-material with a conservative style of 43.82%. Meanwhile, the lowest misconception was found in the potential energy submaterial at 26.12%. Most misconceptions come from personal thoughts (90.08%), followed by books, teachers, friends and the internet. This research provides important insights for lecturers to design more effective learning strategies, in order to reduce student misconceptions about business and energy material.
