This research is entitled The socio-economic dynamics of gold pande crafts in Tanjung Batu Village, Ogan Ilir Regency 2010 - 2020. the purpose of this study is to investigate the social and economic changes that occurred in gold craftsmen in Tanjung Batu Village, Ogan Ilir Regency, from 2010 to 2020. Although goldsmiths have been an important part of the local economy, market growth, technological advances and national economic policies have greatly affected their business. This case study uses a qualitative approach by conducting in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis to obtain data. The research shows that the income and economic stability of artisans have been affected by changes in the worldwide price of gold, the availability of raw materials, and government laws relating to gold mining and trading. In addition, social factors such as changes in consumption patterns, generational shifts, and education affect the ability and sustainability of goldsmiths. This study found that although the goldsmith craft in Kelurahan Tanjung Batu still exists, the challenges faced are increasingly complex and require artisans to change in order to sustain it. To maintain the sustainability of this craft, support from various parties is needed, such as skills improvement, product innovation and access to a wider market.
