Narcotics are various types of drugs or substances that can change human consciousness and perception and have the potential to cause dependence. If drugs are consumed by teenagers, it will indirectly disrupt the function of the brain and body so that it can destroy their lives in the future. The aim of this research is to determine community participation in preventing teenagers from using drugs in Ilir Timur II District. The method used in this research is quantitative. Data analysis techniques use descriptive qualitative and data collection techniques use direct observation, interviews using interview guides and documentation. Based on the results of this research, it is known that the form community involvement in efforts to prevent drug abuse in teenagers is participation in outreach activities about the dangers of drugs, providing reports if drug abuse occurs, instilling moral values in teenagers, and organizing positive activities such as sports activities. Apart from that, the obstacles faced by the community in efforts to prevent drug abuse are a lack of enthusiasm to participate in socialization regarding the risks of drug use, a low level of understanding of the dangers, promiscuity of teenagers without parental supervision, and inadequate community participation in preventing drug abuse.
