ANALISIS FRAMING PEMBERITAAN PARTAI DEMOKRAT KELUAR DARI 'KOALISI PERUBAHAN UNTUK PERSATUAN' MENJELANG PILPRES 2024 PADA VIVA.CO.ID DAN MEDIAINDONESIA.COM
Online media Viva.co.id and Mediaindonesia.com reported on the Democratic Party's departure from the Coalition for Change for Unity (KPP) ahead of the 2024 presidential election. In the reporting there were differences in the selection of issues and writing of the facts that occurred. This research aims to analyze the comparative framing of news coverage of the Democratic Party leaving the Coalition for Change for Unity ahead of the 2024 presidential election on the media Viva.co.id and Mediaindonesia.com. This research uses Robert N. Entman's Framing model analysis approach using issue dimensions and highlighting facts in news created by the media. The research method used is qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques in this research include documentation and observation. The results of this research show that there are similarities between the two media in the define problem and diagnose causes elements in the news that the Democrat Party left the KPP because of the choice of Muhaimin Iskandar as the vice presidential candidate. Furthermore, the make moral judgment element on Viva.co.id and Mediaindonesia.com both show the moral value of the importance of good and ethical national and state attitudes. Then the treatment recommendation element on Viva.co.id shows a settlement with the Democratic Party which received an offer from another coalition after leaving the KPP. This is different from Mediaindonesia.com, which shows that there was no betrayal between the National Democratic Party (NasDem) and Anies Baswedan towards the Democratic Party over the election of Muhaimin Iskandar as vice presidential candidate ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
