Research with the title “Motives for Early Marriage in Arab Descent Adolescent Girls in Kenduruan Village Palembang”. Aims to know and understand the purpose motive and cause motive as well as the meaning of early marriage in female teenagers of Arab descent in Kenduruan Village Palembang. This research method is descriptive qualitative and phenomenological research strategy. This research uses Alfred Schutz's Phenomenology theory. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation and then analyzed using Creswell's method. The results showed that there are purpose motives and cause motives as well as the meaning of early marriage in Arab-origin adolescent girls in Kenduruan Village Palembang. The motives for the purpose of early marriage in adolescent girls of Arab descent in Kenduruan Village are (1) self-will to marry at an early age, (2) religion as a goal of early marriage, (3) culture as a goal of early marriage. The motives for early marriage in adolescent girls of Arab descent in Kenduruan Village are (1) the motive for parental arranged marriage, (2) the economy as a reason for marrying at an early age, (3) the experience of parents married at an early age, (4) the influence of friends who married at an early age. While the meaning of early marriage in adolescent girls of Arab descent in Kenduruan Village is the intersubjective meaning which gives the result that there is a maintenance of culture and lineage which means that someone takes action to marry at an early age.
