This research discusses the impact of Juaro river water pollution and public awareness of river water pollution. The aim of this research is to determine the awareness of the people along the Juaro River regarding the impact of water pollution (study in Pulau Rimau 2 District, Banyuasin Regency). The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a descriptive research strategy. Data collection was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews with 7 informants, documentation and literature study, then analyzed using Enders' adaptation theory. The results of this research show that community awareness in Pulau Rimau 2 District is still low, characterized by the behavior of throwing household waste and palm oil waste into the water of the Juaro River. The polluted Juaro river water is brownish, smelly and oily. People are currently switching to using drilled wells for daily life. Keywords: Public Awareness, Water Pollution, River Water.
