ABSTRACT Television and Digital Platforms have greatly influenced human life in this era. Likewise for the people of Ilir Barat Dua District, Palembang City at the convenience of watching. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of comfort of watching the people of Ilir Barat Dua District, Palembang City on digital platforms and digital television. The data obtained in this thesis is based on observations, documentation studies and questionnaires that have been distributed to the people of Ilir Barat Dua District, Palembang City with descriptive quantitative methods. This research uses the Uses and Gratification Theory by Griffin (2018) which has several aspects that include passing time, companionship, escape, enjoyment, social interaction, relaxation, information and excitement. The results of this study showed that respondents preferred to watch a program through digital platforms as much as 67.13% and only 32.87% of respondents watched through digital TV. Respondents prefer digital platforms because: digital platforms as entertainment media fill spare time, make friends, calm down from the pressure, fun and entertaining media, help build a relationship with other users and as a medium to find the latest information. While respondents prefer digital TV because: by watching digital TV someone feels calmer and relaxed and there is a pleasant sensation when watching. Based on the Uses and Gratification Theory which describes the relationship between the audience and the media, a grand mean of 3.91 is obtained in the interval range of 3.43-4.23 included in the Comfortable category for the people of Ilir Barat Dua District, Palembang City. Keywords: Comfort, Digital, Platform, Television ABSTRAK Televisi dan Platform Digital sudah sangat mempengaruhi kehidupan manusia di zaman ini. Begitupun pada masyarakat Kecamatan Ilir Barat Dua Kota Palembang pada kenyamanann menonton. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat kenyamanan menonton masyarakat Kecamatan Ilir Barat Dua Kota Palembang pada platform digital dan televisi digital. Data-data yang diperoleh pada skripsi ini berdasarkan pada observasi, studi dokumentasi dan angket yang telah disebar kepada masyarakat Kecamatan Ilir Barat Dua Kota Palembang dengan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini menggunakan Teori Uses and Gratification oleh Griffin (2018) yang memiliki beberapa aspek yang meliputinya yaitu passing time, companionship, escape, enjoyment, social interaction, relaxation, information dan excitement. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan responden lebih menyukai menonton program acara melalui platform digital sebanyak 67,13% dan hanya 32,87% responden yang menonton melalui televisi digital. Responden lebih menyukai platform digital dikarenakan : platform digital sebagai media hiburan mengisi waktu luang, mencari teman, menenangkan diri dari tekanan yang terjadi, media yang menyenangkan dan menghibur, membantu membangun hubungan dengan pengguna lain dan media mencari informasi terbaru. Adapun responden lebih menyukai televisi digital dikarenakan : menonton televisi seseorang merasa lebih tenang dan santai serta adanya sensasi menyenangkan ketika menonton. Berdasarkan Teori Uses and Gratification yang menggambarkan hubungan antara audiens dengan media diperoleh grand mean 3,91 berada pada rentang interval 3,43-4,23 termasuk dalam kategori nyaman bagi masyarakat Kecamatan Ilir Barat Dua Kota Palembang.
