EVALUASI USER EXPERIENCE PADA APLIKASI LINE MENGGUNAKAN METODE SYSTEM USABILITY SCALE (SUS)
This study aims to evaluate the user experience (UX) of the LINE application using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. Although LINE is one of the popular communication applications, data indicates that its usage rate remains relatively low compared to similar communication apps. This research focuses on assessing the ease and comfort of users when interacting with the LINE application. The SUS method was chosen for its simplicity in measuring usability aspects. The study involved 334 respondents who are active LINE users in Palembang, with an average SUS score of 64.33 for the LINE application, which falls into the "Good" category with a grade of "C" and a "high" level of acceptability. The results show that while the user experience of the LINE application is generally good and acceptable, there is still room for improvement. The majority of respondents are aged 18-24, with most using the LINE application at least once a week. From a UX perspective, the LINE application offers various features but also faces several challenges that affect user satisfaction. The main issues identified include the lack of user status indicators such as "active," "typing," or "last seen," as well as occasional failures in the notification system. These challenges impact the overall user experience, resulting in a relatively lower user engagement with LINE compared to similar applications that emphasize ease of use and user comfort.
