Menstruation is the process of blood coming out of the uterus periodically every month with a span of 21-35 days, which occurs when there is no fertilization. The menstrual cycle can be influenced by stress factors and nutritional status. This study aims to analyze the relationship between stress levels and nutritional status with the menstrual cycle in Nursing Study Program students. This study uses a correlation analysis design with a cross-sectional approach. The population in the study were all active female students of the 2021, 2022, and 2023 intakes of the Nursing Study Program totaling 302 female students and sampling in this study was carried out by probability sampling using stratified random sampling technique totaling 75 female students who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The instruments used include The Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (K10) questionnaire to measure stress levels, weight and height measurements to determine nutritional status, and a menstrual cycle questionnaire in the form of a calendar. Data analysis used the Spearman Rank test. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between stress levels and menstrual cycles in respondents, obtained a value (p-value = 0.000, r = 0.402) which there was a positive relationship between stress levels and menstrual cycles with moderate correlation strength, where the higher the level of stress experienced by respondents, the greater the risk of experiencing menstrual cycle irregularities, while for nutritional status, a value (p-value = 0.012, r = 0.290) was obtained, which there was a positive relationship between nutritional status and menstrual cycles with low correlation strength, where the more abnormal the nutritional status experienced by respondents, the greater the risk of experiencing menstrual cycle irregularities. Therefore, respondents are expected to be able to manage stress and maintain a healthy and balanced diet so that the menstrual cycle remains regular.
