ANALISIS KEBERADAAN PABRIK PENGOLAHAN RIBBED SMOKED SHEET (RSS) DI PTPN I REGIONAL 7 KEBUN MUSILANDAS TERHADAP KESEJAHTERAAN MASYARAKAT DESA MAINAN KECAMATAN SEMBAWA
The existence of the RSS Processing Factory of PTPN I Regional 7, Musilandas Plantation, in Mainan Village, particularly in Hamlet II, has impacted the surrounding community, influencing their perceptions and welfare levels. This study aims to: (1) Analyze the perceptions of Mainan Village residents regarding the presence of the RSS Processing Factory at PTPN I Regional 7, Musilandas Plantation; (2) Assess the welfare levels of Mainan Village residents in relation to the factory's presence; and (3) Examine the relationship between community perceptions and welfare levels regarding the factory. The research was conducted at the RSS Processing Factory of PTPN I Regional 7, Musilandas Plantation, located in Hamlet II, Mainan Village, Sembawa District, Banyuasin Regency. The study was carried out in October 2024, with the location selected purposively. The research employed a survey method, with sampling conducted using Simple Random Sampling involving 34 respondents. The data collected included both primary and secondary data. Data analysis was performed using the Likert Scale analysis and Spearman Rank Correlation analysis. The results showed that the average community perception score regarding the factory's presence was 33.86, categorized as very positive. Additionally, the average welfare level of Mainan Village residents was categorized as high. There was a significant correlation between community perceptions of the factory and their welfare levels, with a correlation coefficient of 0.452 based on Spearman Rank analysis. This value indicates a moderate-strength positive relationship, meaning that better community perceptions of the factory are associated with higher welfare levels.
