ANALISIS EFISIENSI PEMASARAN PRODUK OLAHAN LIMBAH DAUN NANAS DI KOTA PRABUMULIH
Pineapple is one of the important horticultural commodities in Indonesia, with South Sumatra being one of the largest producers. Prabumulih, known as the "pineapple city," was also a major contributor to pineapple production, but pineapple leaves were often overlooked. This research aimed to: (1) Describe the marketing channels for processed pineapple leaf products in Prabumulih; (2) Analyze the marketing margins for processed pineapple leaf products in Prabumulih; and (3) Analyze the efficiency level of the marketing channels for processed pineapple leaf products in Prabumulih. The method used was a case study of the Miwa Pineapple Producer Cooperative, with a snowball sampling approach to select respondents, resulting in 15 samples consisting of 10 farmers, the head of the farmer group, the cooperative head, 2 cooperative employees, and the head of downstream production. The processed products studied included pineapple leaf fiber, fabric made from pineapple leaf fiber, and clothing made from the fabric. The marketing channels were analyzed using descriptive analysis, which showed that there was one marketing channel for pineapple leaf fiber and two marketing channels for fabric and clothing products. The margin calculation for each channel showed that the margin for pineapple leaf fiber was Rp34,706 at the farmer stage and Rp58,500 at the collector stage. For fabric and clothing products, the marketing margins were calculated at Rp44,749 for fabric and Rp173,720 for clothing. The marketing efficiency analysis showed that all marketing channels had an efficiency below 33%, indicating that the marketing channels were efficient.
