ANALISIS MINAT DAN BAKAT CABANG OLAHRAGA BOLA BASKET PADA SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 1 TANJUNG BATU

This research aims to analyze the interest and talent in basketball among class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Batu. The type of research used is descriptive quantitative with survey methods to collect data. The research population consisted of 216 students, and the samples taken were 36 students with the criteria of being male and female. The results showed that 89% of students showed good interest in basketball. The physical tests carried out include a 20 meter sprint test, Illinois agility running test, push-up, and vertical jump. The sprint test results show that the majority of students have good grades. The Illinois agility run test shows a student's average ability in agility. The results of the push-up test showed variations in ability, with 12 students getting good scores, 12 moderate, 10 poor, and 2 very poor. The vertical jump test shows that most students are in the average or below average category. Overall, this research shows that although interest in basketball is high, students' physical abilities vary.
