KANDUNGAN UNSUR HARA MIKRO TEMBAGA (Cu) PADA AKAR DAN TAJUK TANAMAN PADI DI LAHAN SAWAH IRIGASI, BELITANG, OKU TIMUR
Increasing agricultural productivity is currently experiencing many obstacles. Continued use of fertilizers can lead to high fertilizer residues in the soil as well as increased levels of metals such as Cu. Copper is a microelement that plants need in small amounts and becomes harmful at higher concentrations. The purpose of this study was to measure copper levels in the roots and plants of rice and its correlation with other soil chemical properties. This research was conducted in September 2024-December 2024 located in rice fields owned by residents of Purwodadi Village, Belitang Mulya District, OKU Timur. The method used in this research is a detailed survey method with a map scale of 1:10,000 to cover a research area of 12.71 ha. The research location was divided into 5 different paddy field blocks. Each block was taken 3 times. One replicate sample consisted of 5 individual samples that were composited. Thus, the number of research samples taken was 15 root samples, 15 plant samples and 15 soil samples that had been composited. The analysis showed that the average copper content in the roots was 9.46 ± 1.72 and in the plants was 3 ± 0.84. This value shows that the copper content found in the roots and rice plants in irrigated paddy fields, Belitang, is still below the copper threshold level for rice plants.
