This research focused on the decay of farmers' social solidarity due to the conversion of paddy fields in Perambahan Village and farmers' efforts to maintain their social solidarity. The conversion of rice fields into oil palm plantations resulted in a decline in the social aspect. In this case, farmers experienced a decline in social solidarity. The aim of this research is to analyze and understand the phenomenon of the decay of farmers' social solidarity due to the conversion of rice fields into encroached villages. The research method used is descriptive- qualitative, with a phenomenological research strategy. This research used Emile Durkheim's Social Solidarity Theory. Data was obtained from 10 main informants, 3 key informants, and 3 supporting informants through interviews, participant observation, and documentation, as well as using data analysis techniques from Miles, Huberman, and Saladana (2014). The results of the research show that there is a decay of social solidarity in the form of (1) the decay of cultural values or habits, (2) the disappearance of farmer groups, and (3) the decay of farmers' social interactions on the land. but there are efforts by farmers to maintain social solidarity by (1) strengthening values. culture or habits, and (2) strengthen attitudes of empathy or concern.
