POPULASI Pentalonia nigronevosa COQUEREL (HEMIPTERA : APHIDIDAE ) PADA BERBAGAI KULTIVAR PISANG OLAHAN
The banana plant is a fruit commodity with a variety of cultivars and is a major food crop produced vegetatively using tissue culture. This plant is susceptible to pests and pathogens, especially the banana aphid which has the potential as a pest because it can transmit the BBTV virus. This study was conducted to determine the population of P. negronervosa aphid on various banana cultivars, plant parts and population factors of aphid maintained on BB genome banana. The research method of P. nigronervosa aphid population was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 banana varieties as treatments and repeated as many as 3 replicates. The treatments used included stems, leaves and stalks of various banana cultivars namely: Nangka, kepok, gedah, tanduk, and raja nangka. Based on the fact that the plant part factor obtained the highest population of aphid on the stem. While on the plant cultivar factor, the most aphid populations were found on the nangka and raja nangka banana cultivars. The morphology of P. nigronervosa aphid carried out in 5 cultivars of banana plants body length, color, antenna segments and the average length of the antennae maintained are almost the same.
