The concepts used in examining the case are the concepts of multilateral and strategy. This research uses descriptive research with qualitative data. The results obtained from the research show that Indonesia succeeded in becoming the Presidency of the 2022 G20 Summit which successfully carried out its role despite being faced with the Russia-Ukraine conflict situation which had an impact on global geopolitical and economic stability. In multilateral, Indonesia is able to cooperate with many countries, especially G20 member countries, to achieve the success of the 2022 G20 Summit. In strategy, although Russian President Vladimir Putin was unable to attend, Indonesia was much more successful in holding the G20 presidency compared to India's 2023 G20 Summit, with the presence of the world's two largest economies, US President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping in the 2022 G20 Summit in Bali. President Xi Jinping was not present at the 2023 G20 Summit. The presence of both heads of state was important in the success of the Indonesian Presidency in the 2022 G20 Summit amidst the Russia-Ukraine conflict at the time.
