This research is entitled "The Phenomenon of Poverty in Rain-Fed Rice Farming Communities in Lubuk Seberuk Village, Lempuing Jaya District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra". The data source used in this research is primary data source obtained through in-depth interviews with informants. This research uses the concept of Resilience with the method used in this research is qualitative descriptive research. The determination of informants in this research was carried out purposively with the aim of obtaining more in-depth information in accordance with the research problem. The aim of this research is to analyze the causes of poverty in rain-fed rice farming communities and to analyze community efforts to overcome the problem of poverty that occurs in Lubuk Seberuk Village. The results of this research show that the phenomenon of poverty in rain-fed rice farming communities is caused by low levels of education, low income and increasing expenditure as well as efforts to overcome poverty among rain-fed rice farming communities, namely increasing crop yields, entrepreneurship in agricultural products, land conversion, looking for side jobs.
