RESPON PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN SELADA (Lactuca sativa L.) VARIETAS GRAND RAPIDS DENGAN BERBAGAI VOLUME POT PADA SISTEM BUDIDAYA TERAPUNG
Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is one the popular vegetable and favorite plants cultivated conventionally or floating cultivation system. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the optimal volume planting media for the growth and yield of lettuce floating. Of the experiment was conducted from July to September 2024 at the Plant Ecology Laboratory, Department of Agricultural Cultivation and Reservoirs, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. A Randomized Block Design (RBD) was used with 4 treatments of planting pot sizes, namely P1 = 1,9 L; P2 = 2,7 L; P3 = 3,6 L; and P4 = 5 L. Each treatment consisting of 5 plants was repeated 4 times, totaling 80 plants. The parameters observed were leaf length, width, and greenness, including number of leaf, canopy area, total leaf area, fresh weight per raft, dry weight per raft, stem diameter, and root length. The results showed that 1,9 L (P1) produced faster growth requirements with 11,92 leaves, 7,3 cm leaf length and 7,23 cm leaf width. The highest final harvest per unit pot was found in 5 L, while the largest harvest per raft was produced in 1,9 L.
