Research entitled Instagram Social Media Management at the Palembang City Communication and Information Service. This research uses a social media communication model based on the government by Gohar F Khan to find out how the Palembang City Diskominfo Instagram social media is managed in carrying out its duties and functions through Instagram social media. The data collection technique in this research uses qualitative research methods and collects data by conducting in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this research show how the management of Instagram social media diskominfo Palembang City chooses Instagram social media to disseminate information on the activities of the Palembang City government, target the public as participants in receiving information, carry out various content strategies in disseminating information via Instagram social media and carries out evaluations three times. within a month and uses open data in the form of data.go.id in managing Instagram. Apart from that, the Palembang City Diskominfo collaborates with government agencies, the private sector, and the community.
