PENGARUH EDUKASI METODE CERAMAH TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP DALAM MELAKUKAN RESUSITASI JANTUNG PARU PADA SISWA SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS
Students have limited knowledge about cardiopulmonary resuscitation which is the first aid for victims of cardiac arrest. The number of high school students is relatively large so that they have the potential to become helpers of victims encountered outside the hospital. Knowledge and attitudes affect the application of performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation outside the hospital. One strategy to improve knowledge and attitudes in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation in high school students is to provide lecture method education. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of lecture method educational on knowledge and attitude in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation in high school students. The method used in this study was quantitative with a pre-experimental design with a one group pre-test post-test design approach. The sampling technique used simple random sampling with 35 high school students as respondents. The results showed that almost all respondents (80.0%) experienced an increase in knowledge after being given the intervention and almost all respondents (77.1%) experienced an increase in attitude after being given the intervention. Based on statistical tests using Marginal Homogeneity, the p value = < 0.001 (p < α = 0.05). These results indicate that there is a significant difference in the level of knowledge and attitude of students between before and after being given education with the lecture method. The knowledge and attitude in performing CPR of lay people such as high school students can be improved by using the lecture method as a means of health education.
