Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) is the first cluster in efforts to reduce povertyIn Indonesia by the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs. PKH has the alm ofalleviating poverty and changing the mindset/behavior of KPM (BeneficiaryFamilies) in dally life and P2K2 activities as an effort to realize the goals of theprogram. This research aims to find ont how social assistants communicatestrategles and the obstacles faced during P2K2 activities. The method in thisresearch uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through in-depthInterviews with ten sources, observation and documentation studies. The results ofthe research show that the Gandus sub-district social assistance communicationstrategy uses four dimensions from the steps of Anwar Arifin's communicationstrategy theory, namely knowing the audience, determining the message,determining the method and selection and selection of communication media. Apartfrom that, it was found that there were communication techniques used to supportthe success of communication strategies such as redundancy, Informative,persuasive and educational techniques. Then it was also found that there wereobstacles for communicators and communicants in the form of technical obstacles,semantic obstacles, and human obstacles in the process of P2K2 activities.
