REPRESENTASI PERSAINGAN KELAS KAPITALIS PADA SERIAL DRAMA REBORN RICH (ANALISA SEMIOTIKA MODEL JOHN FISKE)
The drama Reborn Rich is an adaptation of a webtoon entitled "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" which is available on the Naver site and written by Author San Gyung. This drama was first released by JTBC and belongs to the fantasy genre, raising social issues, including capitalist class competition, which are often found in society. In this drama, it is shown how competition between capitalists competes in the world of business and politics, even using fraudulent and cruel actions as part of the competition process. On this basis, the researcher chose this drama as the object of research and analyzed it using the concept of Capitalism. The aim of this analysis is to understand and analyze the scenes in the drama "Reborn Rich" which depict capitalist class competition through analysis of representation, ideology and reality. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach and applies semiotic analysis based on John Fiske's model. The results of this analysis indicate that in the drama Reborn Rich, capitalist class competition is successfully represented through various scenes that show the conflicts faced by the main characters, Jin Do Jun and Yoon Hyun Woo. Data analysis using John Fiske's semiotic theory which consists of the level of reality, the level of representation and the level of ideology, concluded that in the drama series Reborn Rich the depiction of capitalist class competition resulted in the impact of Capitalism which led to market monopoly carried out by the Chaebols both in the domestic market and free and foreign markets and also the influence of the chaebol in intervening in politics and government in South Korea.
