STRATEGI BERTAHAN HIDUP PEDAGANG WARUNG TERAPUNG DALAM PEMENUHAN KEBUTUHAN DI PINGGIRAN SUNGAI MUSI, KOTA PALEMBANG
This study aims to determine how the survival strategy and obstacles in the survival of floating stall traders on the banks of the Musi River, Palembang City. The purpose of this research is to analyze and understand the Survival Strategy of Floating Stall Traders in Fulfilling Needs on the Edge of the Musi River, Palembang City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study research strategy. This research uses Edi Suharto's survival strategy theory. Data were obtained from 7 main informants and 5 supporting informants using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, documentation and literature study. The results of this study show that the active strategy, a strategy used by families to develop all alternative family abilities and expertise. For example, assisted by family members, both wife and children. Passive strategy, a survival strategy that is selective and not wasteful to manage the costs and needs of family members, such as buying necessities only. ways to fulfill life, such as saving household costs, clothing, food and education costs. Network strategy is survival involving the help of relatives, neighbors and other relations both formally and informally when facing difficulties, for example, borrowing funds when urgently needing money.
