KEPENTINGAN KOREA SELATAN DALAM PEMBENTUKAN NSP (NEW SOUTHERN POLICY) DI KAWASAN ASIA TENGGARA PADA MASA PEMERINTAHAN PRESIDEN MOON JAE IN
In making a policy, the state considers its national interests in relation to the economy, defense, world order and also ideology in order to protect and maintain the physical, cultural and political identities of other countries. Including South Korea in the formation of the New Southern Policy (NSP), which is an effort to increase diplomatic relations between South Korea and Southeast Asia and India. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data sources in the form of words and images obtained from books/e-books, journals/e-journals, documents, papers, reports, magazines, newspapers, articles and documents. Furthermore, the data obtained is reduced and presented and then conclusions are drawn. From this research it is known that South Korea's interest in the formation of the New Southern Policy (NSP), especially in the Southeast Asian region, is due to Korea's desire to find new markets and reduce dependence on previous partners, namely the United States and China. Consumer availability in the Southeast Asia region. Unfavorable relations between Korea and North Korea, Japan and China in the Korean region, defense industry cooperation, South Korea's strategy to influence Southeast Asia and President Moon Jae In's views on Southeast Asia.
