IMPLEMENTASI KERJASAMA INDONESIA-MALAYSIA-THAILAND GROWTH TRIANGLE (IMT-GT) DALAM SEKTOR PARIWISATA DI INDONESIA (STUDI KASUS : PENGEMBANGAN DESA WISATA BURAI)
Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle is a sub-regional economic cooperation among three countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, which has been established since 1993. IMT-GT aims to promote private sector-led economic growth and facilitale overall sub- regional development. In achieving these goals, IMT-GT has issued various development roadmaps, from "Building A Dynamic Future: A Roadmap for Development 2007-2011" to the latest "IMT-GT 2nd Implementation Blueprint 2022-2026." which serve as guidelines for implementing programs across sectors to foster and accelerate economic growth. IMT-GT focuses on several areas of cooperation, one of which is tourism. One of the tourism developments within IMT-GT is the Tourism Village, which took the form of a discussion forum and was first held in South Sumatra, Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to investigate the implementation of IMT-GT cooperation in the tourism sector in Indonesia, specifically in the developmenf of Burai Tourism Village. This research is analyzed using George R. Terry's management functions concept, including planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. The method used is qualitative descriptive. The data sources consist of primary and secondary. data. The research results indicate that the IMT-GT cooperation conducted by the Provincial Office of Culture and Tourism of South Sumatra is considered quite successful in introducing Burai Tourism Village to the wider public and generating increased visits and revenue. Good relations have been established between domestic and international institutions to maintain the smoothness of cooperation within the IMT-GT Forum. However, the readiness for cooperation is still somewhat immature, considering the concurrent events of the G20 and ASEAN Tourism Forum in the same year. Furthermore, local facilitation is insufficient, and there is limited participation from foreign participants due to budget constraints. KEYWORDS: Sub-regional, IMT-GT, Tourism, Tourism Village, Indonesia, Bural.
