Cacar monyet atau monkeypox mulai ramai dibicarakan sejak Mei 2022, dan di bulan Juli 2022 ditemukan pasien pertama di Indonesia tepatnya di DKI Jakarta. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan framing dari CNN Indonesia dan Kompas.com pada periode 01 Juli 2022-01 September 2022. Objek penelitian adalah kategori berita pasien pertama monkeypox di Indonesia dengan total 19 pemberitaan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif yang dijelaskan secara deskriptif. Untuk menganalisis berita menggunakan model framing Zhongdang Pan dan Gerald M. Kosicki, serta didukung dengan teori konstruksi sosial milik Berger dan Luckman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, perbedaan framing kedua media terletak pada kutipan sumber untuk mendukung fakta yang ditulis dan penekanan isi pada berita yang diterbitkan oleh kedua media online tersebut. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perbedaan kepemilikan kedua media dapat memengaruhi pemberitaan yang diterbitkan secara umum. Kata Kunci: Analisis Framing, monkeypox, CNN Indonesia, dan Kompas.com. Monkeypox began to be discussed since May 2022, and in July 2022 the first patient was found in Indonesia, precisely in DKI Jakarta. The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in framing from CNN Indonesia and Kompas.com in the period July 01, 2022-01 September 2022. The object of research is the news category of the first patient of monkeypox in Indonesia with a total of 19 news reports. The research method uses a qualitative method that is described descriptively. To analyze the news using the framing model of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki, and supported by Berger and Luckman's social construction theory. Based on the results of the analysis, the difference in the framing of the two media lies in the citation of sources to support the facts written and the emphasis on the content of the news published by the two online media. It can be concluded that differences in ownership of the two media can affect the news published in general. Keywords: Framing Analysis, monkeypox, CNN Indonesia, and Kompas.com.
