INTERNATIONAL COLLECTIVE ACTION DALAM MERESPON KEBIJAKAN DEFORESTASI PRESIDEN BOLSONARO DI BRAZIL
Climate change is a change in air temperature or precipitation that has occurred in the world over the years. This is caused by several things such as deforestation or continuous logging of forests. Deforestation is a threat to the lives and livelihoods of indigenous peoples and traditional communities in the Amazon, even to the biodiversity in forests, and to the global climate. The Amazon forest plays an important role in the world's cycle of oxygen and carbon dioxide because it can absorb large amounts of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere because it is so large and has many trees. Environmentalists continue to blame the increase in deforestation on Brazil's far-right president, Jair Bolsonaro, who is seen as not paying attention to environmental safety and underestimating laws protecting the local environment. Seeing the ongoing deforestation in the Amazon rainforest during President Jair Bolsonaro's term of office, Greenpeace is working with several parties such as indigenous peoples, Hivus, and the Conselho Indigenista Missionario (CIMI) to form a project created with the aim of reducing the rate of deforestation in the Amazon rainforest. . This research explains how the efforts of International Collective Action respond to deforestation policies by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. This study uses the concept of Collective Action. Viewed from the Interest, Organization, Mobilization, and Opportunity indicators. Keywords: Brazil, Deforestation, Greenpeace, International Collective Action, Jair Bolsonaro
