Service is an important aspect which is one of the determinants of the quality possessed by agencies, especially those engaged in the service sector. This study aims to find out how the strategy is used in improving the tax service of Land and Building Rights Acquisition Fees (BPHTB) at the Regional Revenue Agency (BAPENDA) of Palembang City. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research using interactive model data analysis techniques which are carried out with the stages of data collection, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The theory used is the theory of strategic management from Wheelen & Hunger. The results of this study indicate that the services provided are still a lot of complaints by the public, especially in the process of providing services. Then also the service process which is only carried out directly also results in the existing service process being still limited. For this reason, it is hoped that training and additional insight will be provided to officers so that the quality of officers will increase and it is also expected to immediately provide online services so that it can make it easier for the community to obtain services.
