FENOMENA TINDAKAN BERHUTANG PADA IBU RUMAH TANGGA PENGGUNA JASA PELEPAS UANG DI DESA PEDATARAN KECAMATAN GELUMBANG KABUPATEN MUARA ENIM
Money lenders are a type of work that is actually not much different from banks and non-bank financial institutions engaged in savings and loan services. The difference is that money lenders are entrepreneurs who are not legal entities, who manage their own business with their own policies and regulations. The research problem discusses the process of borrowing money, the factors behind borrowing money and the use of money loans by housewives. The purpose of this study is to analyze and understand the phenomenon of debt to housewives who use money making services in Pedataran Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency. By using descriptive qualitative research methods and phenomenological approaches and using data collection techniques, observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The validity of the ata was tested by technical triangulation and the data was analyzed using six steps from Creswell (2016), the result was that housewives who borrowed money from moneylenders in Pedataran Village went through seven processes, namely, getting to know moneylenders, creating groups, participating in outreach, applying for loans, surveys, cashing out loans, and repaying loans. The factors behind housewives making loans are cheap rubber prices, easy loan processes and no collateral. The use of loan money obtained by housewives is divided into two, the first is productive use, such as business capital, educational expenses and buying rubber needs.
