The Technical Implementation Unit of the Fisheries Port Service (UPTD-PP) in Lempasing, Lampung, is an area and central region that provides marine resources, especially fish, for the Bandar Lampung region. The fishing fleet operating in the Lempasing Fisheries Port generally employs traditional fishing gear like the payang fishing gear. The payang fishing gear is classified as a purse seine, where the payang is an active fishing gear. It consists of several parts, including the wing, body, and purse of the net. The composition of the catch in the waters of Lempasing, Lampung using payang fishing gear reveals the presence of 9 species. There are 3 main catch species and 6 by-catch species. The diversity of the catch shows low diversity (H = 0.19), unevenness (E = 0.08), and high dominance (C = 0.88). The water parameters that most influence diversity and evenness values are salinity, pH, and temperature, while dissolved oxygen (DO) is the parameter that affects dominance.
