The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between optimism with marital satisfaction in husband undergoing a long distance marriage. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a relationship between optimism with marital satisfaction.The sample of this research is 200 husbands undergoing a long distance marriage. While, the number of samples for the try out was 30 people. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument uses a scale compiled by the researcher, the optimism scale refers to the dimensions theory of Seligman (2008) and the marital satisfaction scale refers to the aspects of Mackey dan O’Brien (1995). Data Analysis in this study was conducted using pearson product moment correlation technique.The results of the correlation analysis showed that there is correlation between optimism with marital satisfaction and has a significance value of 0,000 (p
