DEKOLORISASI LIMBAH CAIR INDUSTRI KAIN JUMPUTAN MENGGUNAKAN TUMBUHAN KIAMBANG (Salvinia Molesta D.S Mitch.) SEBAGAI AGEN FITOREMEDIASI DAN SUMBANGANNYA TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
This research aims to determine the level of effectiveness of kiambang plant (Salvinia molesta) phytoremediation in reducing the color content of liquid waste from the jumputan fabric industry. This research was carried out from January to February 2024 at the Biology Education Laboratory, Sriwijaya University. This research is a type of quantitative experimental research using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications with a contact time of 8 days. The research data were analyzed using the homogeneity test, normality test, variance test (ANOVA) and the Duncan Multiple Range Test (Duncan) with the observed parameters namely temperature, pH, DO, TDS, TSS, color content and the heavy metal Pb. Based on the research results, it was found that treatment 1 using 10 grams of kiambang plants was able to reduce color levels by 56.5% and was able to reduce Pb metal levels by 36.8%. Treatment 1 which used 10 grams of kiambang plants was able to improve wastewater quality parameters with an average change in temperature of 6.95% to 27.3°C, pH of 20.5% to 4.49, DO of 13.9% to 6.7 mg/l, TDS by 60.4% to 340 mg/l, TSS by 92.3% to 10 mg/l. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the kiambang plant is effectively used as a phytoremediation agent for liquid waste from the jumputan fabric industry. Key words: Phytoremediation, Liquid Waste, Kian Jumputan, Salvinia molesta
