This research aims to describe the improvement of children's science abilities through a contextual approach in group B of the Pembina North Indralaya State Kindergarten. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) using the Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. The subjects of this research were 14 children from group B2, consisting of 10 girls and 4 boys. Data collection was carried out through observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The research results show that action through a contextual approach in the learning process can improve children's science abilities. This increase can be seen from the initial condition that the scientific abilities of children in group B2 were in the Very Well Developed (BSB) category, before the action was taken it reached 14.3%, increased to 42.9% in the first cycle of action, and in the second cycle it increased to 85. 7%.
