KEMAMPUAN NUMERASI PADA PEMBELAJARAN KOORDINAT KARTESIUS MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN PMRI DENGAN KONTEKS JEMBATAN AMPERA PADA SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 27 PALEMBANG
This study aims to describe the numeracy skills of grade VIII students in learning cartesian coordinates using the PMRI approach with the Ampera Bridge contest. The research method used in this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were students of class VIII.4 SMP Negeri 27 Palembang, totaling 34 students in the 2023/2024 school year. This study used data collection techniques of observation, written tests, and interviews. The written test consists of two questions, based on the results of the analysis and discussion on the numeracy ability indicator obtained 70.5% of students are able to use various kinds of numbers or symbols related to basic mathematics in solving daily life problems, while on the indicator students are able to analyze information displayed in various forms (graphs, tables, charts, diagrams, etc. there are 58.8%, and 52.9% of students are able to interpret the results of the analysis to predict and make decisions. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that students of class VIII.4 SMP Negeri 27 Palembang have good or moderate numeracy skills in solving test questions on cartesian coordinate material using the PMRI approach in the context of the Ampera Bridge.
