PERSEPSI MAHASISWA BERPRESTASI DI UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA TERHADAP PEMANFAATAN YOUTUBE SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN MANDIRI
This research aims to investigate the perceptions of high-achieving students at Sriwijaya University regarding the utilization of Youtube as a self-learning tool. Data collection was conducted using qualitative methods involving observation, interviews, and documentation. The perceptions of high-achieving students are categorized as very positive. These students agree and acknowledge the usefulness of Youtube as a learning tool, including its benefits as a self-learning medium. However, there are several aspects that need to be considered when utilizing Youtube as a learning tool, such as learning styles, learning strategies, user interaction, and the ease of use. The maximum potential of using Youtube for self-learning can be achieved when attention is given by all parties involved. Effective strategy selection and appropriate content selection need to be considered by students. Interactive learning implementation and monitoring to ensure the achievement of teaching objectives need to be considered by lecturers. Active and responsive interaction to effectively convey the learning content objectives to Youtube users needs to be considered by the owners of video content.
