Health risks are increasing due to increased exposure to free radicals caused by radiation, cigarettes, pollution and contamination, synthetic or inorganic pesticides, other sources of free radicals. Free radicals that enter the body will cause many degenerative diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, liver damage, cancer, heart and nervous disorders, and also speed up the aging process. This study is held to test the antioxidant effect of n-hexane from the leaves of mistletoe (Dendrophthoe pentandra L.). The type of research carried out was research conducted experimentally with the aim of determining the antioxidant effect of cherry mistletoe leaf extract (Dendrophthoe pentandra L.) using the DPPH method using UV-VIS spectrophotometry. The work steps in this research consisted of making dried simplicia of cherry mistletoe leaves (Dendrophthoe pentandra L.), making n-hexane extract of cherry mistletoe leaves (Dendrophthoe pentandra L.), phytochemical tests, making a sample solution of n-hexane extract of cherry mistletoe leaves (Dendrophthoe pentandra L.), phytochemical screening and antioxidant activity test of n-hexane extract of cherry mistletoe leaves (Dendrophthoe pentandra L.). From the linear equation graph, the IC50 value equation is 24.80 ppm. This value shows that the n-hexane extract of mistletoe cherry leaves has very strong antioxidant activity because the IC50 value is below 50 ppm. Phytochemical tests on the n-hexane extract of mistletoe cherry leaves showed the presence of secondary metabolite compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins and steroids. This research shows that cherry mistletoe and cherry plants have very strong antioxidant performance. Keywords: Free radicals, Antioxidants, Mistletoe Extracts, cherry, IC50, n-hexane
