PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM MENGATASI GANGGUAN DISLEKSIA PADA ANAK DI DESA SIDANG EMAS KABUPATEN BANYUASIN
This research aims to describe the role of parents in overcoming dyslexia in children in Sidang Emas Village, Banyuasin Regency. The type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The research subjects consisted of parents, children and teachers who taught at elementary schools (SD) in Sidang Emas Village. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and interviews. The results of the research show that there are five indicators used, namely the fulfillment of learning facilities for motivation to study at home which are not yet sufficient because there are no learning facilities for children provided by parents. Aspects of the home learning environment that are still not fulfilled start from parents' lacak of knowledge regarding child care, assistance with children's learning at home, family support in learning, and home learning schedules. Aspects of children's abilities include experiencing delays in the process of writing and discipline skills. Aspects of language skills in children who still experience difficulties in reading and the lacak of assistance from parents when children do schoolwork at home. The letter recognition aspect is said to be sufficient because children have started to recognize letters and numbers, but are not yet very fluent in naming the letters of the alphabet because they often experience mistakes in pronouncing them. These five aspects are still not sufficient for the process and stages of growth and development of school-aged children, therefore the role of parents in overcoming dyslexia in children has not been carried out properly by parents Keywords: Role Of Parents, Dyslexia, children, Elementary school.
