EFEKTIVITAS FITOREMEDIASI TANAMAN MATA LELE (Lemna minor L.) DALAM MENURUNKAN KADAR WARNA LIMBAH CAIR INDUSTRI KAIN JUMPUTAN DAN SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI SMA
This research aims to determine the level of effectiveness of phytoremediation of catfish eye plants (Lemna minor L.) in reducing the color content of liquid waste from the jumputan industry. The research process was carried out from August to December 2023 at the Biology Education Laboratory, Sriwijaya University. This research is a type of quantitative experimental research using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 5 replications with a treatment time of 6 days. The research data were analyzed using the homogeneity test, normality test, variance test (ANOVA) and the Duncan Multiple Range Test (Duncan) with the observed parameters namely pH, temperature, DO, TDS, TSS, color content and the heavy metal Pb. The research results showed that treatment 2 which used 15 grams of catfish eye plants was able to reduce color levels by 51% and was able to reduce levels of the heavy metal Pb by 42% with an average change in Pb levels of 0.9 mg/l. Treatment 1 which used 10 grams of catfish eye plants was able to improve water quality parameters with an average change in pH of 18% to 5.72, DO of 53% to 6.9 mg/l, temperature of 11% to 27.9 °C, TDS by 44% to 118.2 mg/l, and TSS by 95% to 8 mg/l. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the catfish eye plant is effective as a phytoremediation agent for liquid waste from the jumputan industry.
