This research aims to determine the beginning reading skills of class II students with theme 3, subtheme 3. The type of research used is qualitative with descriptive methods. The research subjects in this study were 26 class II students. This research was carried out in November 2023 at SDN 02 Indralaya Utara. Data collected is based on observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that the reading skills of class II students are 39% in the poor category in terms of several aspects such as pronunciation accuracy 42.3% in the poor category, natural intonation 34.6% in the poor category, reading fluency 38.9% in the poor category and loudness of voice. 38.9% are in the poor category, which means that class II students still need guidance in beginning reading skills.
