DEVELOPMENT OF FLIPBOOK-BASED LEARNING MEDIA FOR WRINTING SYAIR CENDAWAN PUTIH DRAMA SCRIPT IN IN PALEMBANG TRADITIONAL MALAY THEATER COURSES ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the lack of learning material teaching for writing that can be used by educators and students in Palembang Malay Traditional Theater courses, Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Sriwijaya University. Therefore, research was carried out on the development of teaching materials to help the learning process of writing drama scripts. The drama script used by researchers was taken from the story Syair Cendawan Putih. The research procedure starts from needs analysis, making flowcharts and storyboards, media development, expert validation, and final revision. To obtain the necessary data, interview techniques, questionnaires and validation assessment sheets were used. The results of this research are (1) Students and educators need flipbook-based learning media for writing the drama script Syair Cendawan Putih; (2) Design of flipbook-based teaching materials for learning to write the drama script Syair Cendawan Putih based on the results of a needs analysis, consisting of instructions, materials, exercises and examples; (3) The flipbook-based teaching materials for writing Syair Cendawan Putih drama scripts can be categorized as appropriate/valid based on a material validation score of 45 out of a total score of 60 (75%), a media validation score of 31 out of a total score of 40 (77.5%), and a validation score language 32 out of a total score of 40 (80%).
